Take off your wedding ring, shut your eyes...

Getting out of the office and working in the neighborhood coffee shop has its perks beyond catching up on local gossip and getting in my minimum quota of interaction. For instance, today I got a free aura reading courtesy of Jordan of Body & Brain in Decatur. Aura reading these days is a hi tech affair and prior to trustfully submitting I had to take off my wedding ring, shut my eyes, and take 3 deep breaths. Well, I was confident I was going to end up with my Aura read but this could very well have gone another way. I relaxed into the experience and rested my palms on the device. I waited anxiously for my response. What would my aura fortune teller say??? I took three deep breaths and opened my eyes. A blue and green halo in varying shades floated organically around a figure on the screen with intermittent white. What does it mean, what does it mean? With App Annie I know what the heck she's talking about-revenue, downloads plus and negative signs, this is a language I speak but an aura reader? I felt a swim in a mental sea. Jordan started with a calm assuring tone and looked me in the eye with his young liquid brown stare. "Well, you really love to help people," he said and his tone grew more serious "see how it's dark green??? That means you need to actualize this more." Then there was the beautiful blue but in some spots the blue was a bit hazy fading to white, like a tie dye shirt that escaped the dip too quickly. He said, the blue meant my intuition was very, very strong and I could read people very easily but just as quickly as he had become warm and reassuring his tone changed and he became brooding. He said I need to get more into my body and I lived too much in my head, too intellectual. He shook his head with dismay and concern and asked if I was on my computer alot, his eyes grew mercurial. Of course, with a visit and a payment of $20 he could formulate a plan on how to fix me. I returned later with my 2 sons. They agreed to do it in exchange for buying them a chai and a scone. They were not believers but I hoped it didn't show in their readings. The family aura reading was not free after all. I took off my wedding ring, I shut my eyes, I took 3 deep breaths and this is what I get???
