The #ILookLikeAnEngineer was fun and inspiring but confusing, I mean #ISmellLikeAnEngineer is a sure thing. You could be blind and you will definitely know who the engineers are. Let me share with you the algorithm for how engineers smell compared to others... P+U=UGH!!! Why this is? Engineers are so stimulated by their work they never leave their chairs and their houses are disgusting as well. Also, in the early hours when ordinary folks are running for the showers if they have slept at all engineers are beelining for their machines to take advantage of superior morning brain before afternoon slog develops. This is for an evolutionary reason. Probably you intuitively know things smell good for their nutritional value and it is in our best interest to not consume engineers. It makes perfect sense our efficiency and sometimes even survival depends on them. The stench is like a giant warning DO NOT EAT ME sign!
If you look at who works from home most in organizations it's engineers. Clearly, that's because we stink. We are powerful and amazing like the sun but like the sun our gifts are best enjoyed from a safe distance. So, next time you are going to hire an engineer be sure to bring a dog and forget human HR. A canines superior sense of smell will sniff out an engineer at 50x the rate of a human. Have you noticed more and more companies let people bring dogs to work? Have you also noticed engineering staff at organizations has increased in correlation. HELLO!!! People want you to believe it's because pets make office enviroments less
stressful. Nope, it's a giant conspiracy to see who is and who is not an engineer.
Forget #ILookLikeAnEngineer nobody cares what you look like but #ISmellLikeAnEngineer now that's meaningful! From now on all engineers should post their disgusting selves and their disgusting home conditions with our new hashtag #ISmellLikeAnEngineer. Be disgusting, be proud and encourage your employer to let you work from home more.
